On Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with beautiful bride to be, Katia,  at her lovely home in St Albans.

Her lovely mother in law Aileen arranged a delicious afternoon brunch, with lunch meats, bread sticks, hummus dips and icecream! – Lucky me. I really do have the best job,  teeheehee!

We got cracking with the amazing marine mud and polishing peel to get their skin ready to be airbrushed! Airbrush makeup is my preffered method to use because of its long wear and photo friendly finish. You can read more about Airbrush makeup here:

I’m super passionate about skincare and I often find that a lot of brides aren’t completely happy with their skin, or there are areas they’d like to improve on before the wedding day.  My job is to get the brides skin as perfect as possible. Great skincare and skin prep = Great makeup.

I carry a range of Nuskin skincare products in my kit which are absolutely amazing. When I first started using the Nuskin products on myself,  I saw immediate results and so decided to stock them in my kit for my brides to be.

Every product I use and reccomend in my kit has been thoroughly tested by myself and other artists and I always strive to give my clients the very best quality available on the market.  I now retail the Nuskin products to brides who are on a skin journey leading up to the big day as I know these products can deliver amazing and immediate results without any harmful ingredients. None of the products are tested on animals.

First up we have the lovely Clare,

A clean and fresh base, with a touch of blusher and champagne lipgloss from Charlotte Tilbury. I used a mixture of Charlotte Tilbury shadows from the Golden Goddess Palette with some browns from the Ben Nye Neutrals. Bedroom black liner, also from CT is my favourite for creating super sexy smudgey definition as its super creamy and doesn’t budge once its set.

Secondly, the lovely Sarah,

Sarah absaloutely loves heavy makeup ! She usually wears her makeup with a bold eye and bold  lip.  We compromised and agreed to go with a super sexy, sultry silver eye  and a soft pinky lipgloss to really compliment her Silver Blue dress.  I used AOM eyeshadows with a mix of Inglot and the glitter shade from the CT Palette Rock Chick to really give her that pop on the eyes.

Thirdly we had Emma, how stunning is her smile!!! And so photogenic!

Warms golds and deep browns were the way to go with this beauty. I used a chocolate brown eyeliner to line her eyes and gorgoues ardell falsies to open them up. I also popped some Eye Cheat from Charlotte Tilbury which I absolutely love in the waterline to give us that sultry dolled eye! A mix of Golden Godess and Dolce Vita palettes used here, as well as some inglot for extra depth in the socket.

Next we had our lovely mother in law to be Eileen

What a beauty! Super soft eyes with brown liner to define and monda lashes for some extra length and glam. Fresh and dewy skin, with a coral pink blusher and lip to match her bright dress!

And last but not least, our blushing bride Katia!

Katia’s dress is so stunning! I was so excited to do her makeup and I knew exactly what I wanted to do to enhance her beautiful face and compliment her dress.

I went for a sexy, copper eye,  with deep golds and a sultry feline eyeliner. We kept the brows defined but natural, and let her eye’s do all the talking. We tried on a lipstick and a gloss but we decided on the gloss as it kept the attention on the eyes and meant the makeup came across well balanced. (Sometimes eye and lip can work, but often a gloss is a nice option for something soft and subtle)

I used a mixture of golden goddess, dolce vita and some MAC pigments to create the smokeyness on her eyes. The ‘pop’ shade from the dolce vita pallete is probably one of my most used glitters in my kit. I love how creamy and shimmery it is, it’s super sexy and fun and adds a ton of dimension to the eyes.

Really looking forward to the big day with these lovely ladies!
