What is Airbrush makeup?
Airbrush makeup is a application technique that uses compressed air to spray on a fine mist of makeup onto the skin. It is the preferred technique for photography, high definition TV and of course bridal and special occasion work. Airbrushing makeup provides a camera ready, natural finish, that lays on the skin, leaving the most natural application which to the naked eye is almost invisible on the digital screen. It can be applied on anyone, any age, race and even men!
I use Airbase as my chosen foundation for my airbrush because of its long wear and weightless finish. It is known for its incredible staying power and is used on shows, events and theater productions such as, like The X Factor, The Wizard Of OZ , Love Never Dies and London Fashion Week and has been covered by Grazia, The Financial Times, Fabulous, Cosmopolitan, Heat magazine and many more.
How does it feel?
Most clients say they feel as if they aren’t wearing any makeup because of how lightweight airbrush makeup feels. Airbrush is perfect for brides who either want a full coverage without the feeling or look of a heavy base or a bride who wants a super natural looking, glowing base, giving your skin that ‘makeup free’ feeling.
What are the benefits of Airbrush makeup?
Not only does Airbrush makeup look flawless in pictures, it also looks amazing up close in real life too. Airbrush makeup allows me to custom mix foundation colours ensuring you get the most perfect blend to match your skin tone. With airbrush you don’t have to worry about sponge or brush marks which can be picked up on camera. Airbrush makeup is sprayed directly onto the skin, it works by mirroring the pixels in a picture, making you look picture perfect. Not only do Makeup Artist’s and Brides love airbrush, Photographers do too, less retouching for them and less fees for you!
It is water, transfer and sweat resistant and will last for 12 hours or more. This means you can completely relax on your big day, hug away, kiss and cry with no touch ups needed. Airbrush makeup can also cover stretch marks, scarring, tattoos and severe pigmentation. Airbrush makeup has been used by celebrities in Hollywood and the fashion industry for years to create the flawless makeup looks you see in the magazines, so why not treat yourself on the biggest day of your life! It’s a no brainer.
